WDC Informative Events
We arrange outstanding speakers and presentations, working with venues and menus to bring events to locales around our County.
Recent speakers have ranged from Senators & political figures, to reporters, pollsters, authors and leaders of organizations focused on Democratic priorities.
WDC Happy Hours
Network with other activists and organizations at our engaging Happy Hours, which provides a fantastic opportunity to build valuable connections and foster collaborations.
These gatherings allow attendees to share their experiences and insights, strengthening a collective efforts for positive change in the community.
Community Education
We organize community education forums that serve to inform and engage our local residents on vital issues. These forums include a variety of programs focused on topics such as school desegregation policy, as well as insights into the inner workings of the Maryland Democratic Party.
We aim to empower our community members with the information they need to become active participants in shaping their environments.
Ground Level Efforts
Our on-the-ground canvassing, along with strategic post-carding efforts, and comprehensive phone/text-banking initiatives for candidates in our County and across the country, play a crucial role in building support and encouraging civic engagement.
These grassroots activities raise awareness about the candidates and foster community connection.
Support & Advocacy
WDC champions the efforts of our affiliated Democratic Clubs and like-minded organizations, while also supporting Democratic nominees both within our County and throughout the nation.
We engage with elected leaders and officials on policy matters ranging from family law to criminal justice reform.
WDC NextGen
Our new youth initiative is essential for WDC's growth.
We understand the significant role young adults play in our mission and are committed to valuing their voices within our organization.
